Bible and Bible Alone
During the earlier days of the Bible coming into the hands of the common man, it was mostly available in Latin. The Latin Vulgate was the principal Bible available at the beginning of the Reformation. The Bible was not a book the general public was familiar with. By the time of Reformation it had undergone significant textual corruptions. It included both a translation of the Hebrew Old Testament and Greek New testament plus other additions to the Bible. The Bibles were owned by the churches, the kings and the socially elite. But today, this is the most published book in the world.
